Day 1. Addis Ababa City Tours

After your arrival our staffs will welcome you from the airport then check in at your hotel. Begin your full day city tour in Addis Ababa, starting with a visit to the National Museum of Ethiopia visit many artifacts including the 3.18 million years’ hominid fossil of Lucy. Continue to Entoto Mountain to explore the first palace and the church of Addis Ababa. Drive to the city center to visit the first hotel known as Taytu after you have lunch, venture to the biggest open-air market, known as Merkato walk in to the traditional spicy market. On the way back visit the historical monuments of Addis Ababa have coffee at the first coffee shop Finally, transfer back to your hotel

Day 2. Domestic Flight to Lalibela

Early we start Driving to Lalibela through the beautiful country sides of Ethiopia, Upon arrival at Lalibela, embark on a visit to the magnificent rock-hewn churches dating back to the 11th century. Explore the surrounding churches, each with its unique architectural specialties, despite being carved from a single bedrock—an awe-inspiring spectacle that the world has never witnessed before. Day 3. Visit the Churches

Begin your day by attending the interesting church ceremony in Lalibela. Explore the magnificent 12th-century rock-hewn churches, each with its own unique architectural features. Although distinct in design, all the churches were carved from a single bedrock, making them an unparalleled marvel in the world of architecture. Overnight Sora Lodge or similar

Day 4. Drive to Semera (350KM)

Early We start Driving to Semera town, From the Ethiopian Highlands to the Low lands of East African Rift valley, on our way you will visit small towns also depending on the day you will visit the local market at the small town, Overnight at Kuriftu or Similar

Day 5. Drive to Ert-Ale volcano

We depart early from Mekelle to Dodom, the base of Erta Ale. The challenging 70 km journey takes about 5 hours through diverse landscapes. After passing small hamlets, we trek 9.5 km to Erta Ale, dine early, then hike to witness the boiling lava. Erta Ale, part of the Danakil Depression, boasts the world’s only permanent lava lake, making it an unparalleled natural wonder. Overnight Camping

Day 6. Drive to HamadEla

After an early start at Erta Ale, we return to Dodom by 8:00 am, allowing time to relax after breakfast. Then, we drive 100 km to HamadEla, stopping for a picnic lunch under the shade of palm trees along the way. Arriving in HamadEla by 04:30, a village with a population of about 500 people, you’ll witness camel caravans and enjoy the sunset over the shallow salt lake Assale. Overnight Camping

Day 7.  Drive Back to Semera town

In the morning, embark on a tour to Asebo, where locals mine salt. Covering 1,200 km2 (460 sq mi), the Afar Depression is blanketed with salt. Witness the process of breaking salt from the ground, as locals cut it into rectangular pieces and load it onto camels. Then, proceed to Dallol to explore various landscapes shaped by volcanic activity, including Dallol, Lake Assale, and the salt canyon. Observe camel caravans and follow their journey. Return to HamadEla for lunch before continuing to Semera, Overnight at Kuriftu or Similar

Day 8. Domestic flight to Arbaminch

You will be transferred to the airport for your domestic flight to Arbaminch. Upon arrival, our car will pick you up from the airport, and then you will drive to the Dorze people village, known for their weaving and remarkable house-building skills. Depending on the day, we will also visit the local market and participate in traditional dances. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to try traditional food made from the false banana tree. Day 9. Drive to Karat town

Drive to Karat town, and en route, you will enjoy a boat trip on Lake Chamo to visit the crocodiles. After arriving in Karat town, you will visit the Konso Tribes and explore their fascinating cultural villages, including the UNESCO registered cultural landscaping system. Kanta Lodge or Similar

Day 10. Drive to Turmi

After visiting the cultural center of the Konso people, you will proceed to drive to Turmi town. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to visit the Arbore tribe village. Upon arrival in Turmi, you will check in to your accommodation. Later, at your leisure, you will walk to the nearest Hammer people village to observe their day-to-day lifestyle.

Day 11. Excursion to Omorate then drive to Jinka

Today, you will have two options. The first option is to visit the Dassanach tribe, or you can choose to visit the Karo Tribe, known for their body painting. After visiting one of these colorful tribes, proceed driving to Jinka town. En route, depending on the day, you will have the opportunity to visit Key Afer market and a Benna tribe village. Upon arrival in Jinka, you will visit the South Omo People Cultural Center before transferring to your hotel.

Day 12. Drive to Mursi then Domestic flight to Addis Ababa

Early drive to Mago National Park to visit the Mursi people, known for the women who wear clay discs on their lower lips. Afterward, drive back to Jinka. Upon arrival in Jinka, you will have lunch and then transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Addis Ababa. After arrival, you will have a personal time in the city latter on join our delightful farewell dinner at a cultural restaurant. Depending on your flight schedule, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure.
